 We want to say “Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,” for your concern and your well wishes. Vermont took a brutal hit, and our hearts go out to our friends and neighbors who are struggling to recover.
We are so fortunate. The Applebutter Inn was not harmed and we are up and running, and fully operational.
Both Interstates, I-89 and I-91, are open. West of Woodstock, Route 4 was damaged and vehicles are being detoured. From I-89 to the Applebutter Inn, Route 4 is open. Repair crews are working day and night, and we hope that you will experience nothing worse than an occasional detour.
On a positive note: since no wind accompanied the rain, our maple trees are well watered! We look forward to a gloriously colorful foliage season.

 As a guest, you can get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the breathtaking views of Woodstock and Vermont's Green Mountains. You can stroll the landscaped grounds and walk to the Taftsville Covered Bridge spanning the Ottauquechee River. You can relax in the shade of our maple trees or play croquet on our private park-like lawn. Or if you choose, there are plenty of places for fishing and canoeing. Great Vermont skiing is close by at
Killington Resort,
Pico Resort and Suicide Six. The Woodstock Vermont area is a wonderful area for biking or hiking. You can even go for a swim in nearby Silver Lake!
 In the morning, you will awaken to the aroma of muffins and breads baking in the oven. The bountiful breakfast is graciously served in the sunny breakfast room overlooking the gardens and barn. Candles light the tables, and fireplaces and stoves warm you in winter.
Soft traditional colors, rare antiques, original stenciling, wide pine floor boards, and oriental rugs all enhance one of Woodstock, VT’s most comfortable and unique accommodations.
Homemade cookies and complimentary teas are available in the afternoon. And for dinner, let us make reservations for you in one of the many fine gourmet and family
restaurants located minutes away throughout Woodstock.
 The Applebutter Inn Bed and Breakfast, built in 1854 and on the National Historic Registry, is a Federal gabled house with a charming atmosphere that reflects the joy of living in this authentically restored Vermont home. The interior of the Inn is tastefully decorated to create a touch of elegance, combined with comfort and warmth.
